After a long, but rewarding school year we are finally on summer vacation! We wrapped up our spring semester with a long weekend of planning ending with a delicious staff team dinner last night. It was humbling to reflect on all God has done at Sac State since last August. We were honored to be able to have a front row seat and make so many precious relationships with many outstanding students.
I would say that summer vacation is already off to a great start! I am looking forward to what God has in store for us this summer, and know that Greg and I are trusting in Him to continue to reveal our future to us. For now, it is time to reflect and celebrate that the school year is over and summer is here! (Well the break is, now if only the weather would catch on too!)

It's MAY!!
Wow, so apparently I have been slacking on this whole blog-update-deal. Oops. It all started when my computer accidently fell from our counter and was out of commission for a while. Imagining typing a blog update on my iphone wasn't too appealing. Then, life happened. Puppy raising, work, marriage, traveling.. you get the picture. So, I am finally sitting down to update!
Our puppy is growing very, very quickly. She is up to 32lbs now and has lost many of her teeth (some of which I have helped with, ha). She is funny, sweet, ocassionally a pill, and we are head over heels in love. For now, she is our baby. She goes with us everywhere, and one of her favorite places to visit is Sacramento State. I am pretty sure it is because of the IMMENSE amount of attention she receives from students, and of course the occasional squirrel she gets to scare up a tree. All she needs is Sac State gear she will be an official attendee. Perhaps she could be the CRU at Sac State mascot!
Greg and I are doing well, we love being married. We have fallen in love with Elk Grove and hope to become more settled in this summer. Prayerfully God will keep us here awhile because it is quickly becoming a place near to our hearts. I still miss my parents terribly, and pray for a miracle to happen so we can be near each other again. Not sure what that would look like, but if God needed to rearrage the country (in a very safe way of course) so that Virginia and California were neighbors I would not complain :-)
As summer approaches Greg and I agree that we are ready! BBQ's, softball games, frozen yogurt, and long evening walks sound incredibly inticing. With just two more weeks on campus that is a very close reality. But for now, we will focus on finishing the spring. And I promise I will try to keep you all updated more regularly ;-)
